
About Lana
Lana McAra, an award-winning, international best-selling author and ghostwriter of 50 titles with a million books sold. She is the founding president of Vendela Publishing, an UN-traditional publisher with global distribution that keeps no royalties and holds no rights. This trad publisher is author-owned and operated.
She has been teaching how to write fiction for 20 years. She won the national Christy Award, The Literary Titan Silver Book Award, The Book Excellence Award, and a 5-Star rating at Reader’s Favorite for her historical novel Reaping the Whirlwind by Rosey Dow. She won the Global Book Award and took 3rd place in the BookFest Award for The Englewood Medium, and she won the Silver Royal Palm Literary Award for her book, How to Write a Novel That Sells. Her mystery series, Colorado, sold more than 250,000 copies.
She currently serves as the president of the Northeast Florida Chapter of Sisters in Crime and is the host of In The Writers Chair podcast.
She enjoys country living in Live Oak, Florida where she teaches a writing class called Writers Ink at her local library.
